Career Opportunities

Sports administration is a growing field offering a variety of career opportunities.  The explosive growth of athletics has created a serious need for individuals to manage and direct school, college, professional, and organisational programs.

Graduates find positions managing fitness centres and sports facilities.  Other opportunities are available in marketing sports programs, in sales for sporting goods manufacturers, or as athletic directors.  Opportunities are also available in professional sports at the team level as well as at league headquarters.  Marketing firms representing individual athletes or sponsoring major sports events present other career possibilities.  Many sports administration majors attend graduate school to specialise in specific areas.
