English and Football TrainingAustralia is recognised as a highly competitive provider of quality High Performance football training programs and a major deliverer of English education.
Our College combines professional High Performance Football Programs with expert language tuition accredited under the regulations of being a Registered Training Organisation. As well as language teachers, we employ top class sport coaches who are also trained in how to coach non-English speakers, some of which have included national, international and Olympic athletes.
Our approach to learning English is as expert and active as our sports programmes. We build conversation skills through activities involving co-operation, motivation, teamwork and friendship rather than pure desk-based learning. We offer three course options so you can choose the sport-language balance that is best for you.
Option 1: English & Football
This is for students who are keen to combine their desire to learn English with football activities. Every day is split equally between interactive English Language sessions and football training:
• Mornings: 15 hours of English Language lessons a week, in an ability group suited to your level.
• Afternoons: Football training.
Option 2: Sports Academy
This is for students who want to focus on Football training and achieve one or more of academic short courses in football.
• Mornings: Academic football short courses lessons.
• Afternoons: Football training.
Football
Expertise Football Camps are run by AFC’s head coach.
Our Football Camps are ideal for players who wish to improve their individual skills and knowledge of the game, whilst learning from seasoned professionals. Under the direction of experienced and professional coaches, players will get the opportunity to develop skills and techniques with the chance to use them in game situations.
Players are coached in drills on passing, dribbling, turning and speed. These are then put into practice through competitive play to improve their awareness on the pitch and develop their tactical skills.
FOCUS ON EXPERIENCE
- Beginners will start by focusing on ball control skills, including heading and shooting. Players progress to the basics of team play and tactics with emphasis on creativity and playing under pressure.
- Intermediate players will receive training on the technical aspects of their game, specifically one-on-one skills, and ball possession. Whilst learning combination play, small group tactics, and team play. Players also learn about fitness training, nutrition and game preparation.
- The advanced programme is for players who require a greater challenge. Whilst continuing to improve technical skills, and tactical knowledge, we also teach the responsibilities of the player’s functional position and more advanced concepts of team play.
