Introduction Australian Football College (AFC) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) specialising in Football study and a provider of world class education and training in fully accredited Football academic courses.
AFC is a subsidiary of ASA-Australian Sports Academy and is the first institute to offer academic Football qualifications in Australia. AFC is an approved accredited training provider (No. 31717) under the Queensland, Australia Act of 2000. RTO certified institutes are regularly assessed by the office of Training and Tertiary Education to ensure that all training and education courses offered are delivered in adherence to the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
AFC offers nationally recognised training courses that in due course lead to internationally recognised qualifications. AFC’s adherence under the AQTF guidelines also makes it possible to serve individuals or groups who are established specialists seeking formal qualifications, as well as those who may be new entrants to the Sport and Recreation industry seeking a career. AFC offer qualifications from the lower level Certificate II advancing through to Diploma level qualifications.
AFC graduates can be found working throughout Australia and in many other countries. Graduates are working in a wide variety of positions in Football and sports related fields including Football Coaches, Sports Trainer, Fitness Coaches, Marketing officers, Administrators, Managers, Development Officers, Club Supervisors, Event Managers and Referees.
AFC offers flexible delivery options in Education and Training and will work with everyone in creating a program to suit individual needs and commitments.
The High Performance Unit of AFC is committed to creating a sports system that allows players to achieve their ultimate potential in both national and international Football through its Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model.
AFC began on Australia's fabulous Gold Cost, Queensland. The Gold Coast is blessed with a comfortable climate throughout the year and has access to many recreational facilities. The Gold Coast is also located nearby the international city of Brisbane and its airport.
