AFC is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and is the first institute to offer academic Football qualifications in Australia and is a provider of world class education and training in fully accredited Football academic courses.
TALENTED ATHLETE PROGRAM
Are you interested in becoming a professional Football player and want to work in the Football industry? Australian Football College (AFC) is now enrolling students for 2011.
AFC offers Year 10, 11 and 12 students a three year football and education program, the aim being to discover further talent following a period of intensive football training and coaching designed to improve every individual’s game as well as education on all aspects of the game.
Australian Football College (AFC) is the first and only football Institution able to offer a football Senior High School Certificate in Australia and we understand the needs of our football partners by offering highly
specialised, comprehensive and individually designed football education and training programs.
The AFC High School programs are designed to cater to the needs of to work with football organisations on a National, State and Club level to assist in the development of their athletes to maximise the time for the athlete to improve their ability and skills to achieve the highest levels of performance possible.
The program offers students the following:
- High Performance Football Training
- Local and National Games
- Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in football
- Certificate III in Football Coaching, Sport and Recreation or fitness
- Certificate IV in Football Coaching, Football Development or Sport and Recreation
- Australian Sports Commission Level 1 and 2 Coaching National Accreditation
- Australian Sports Commission Officiating National Accreditation
- Accredited First Aid Certificate Levels 1, 2 and 3
- Paid Work Experience.
The program is specifically designed to provide students with a tailored and targeted pathway to achieve their football career, while at the same time giving them the opportunity to gain their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in football.
If you, your student or players, your son, or daughter has the ability, talent, and desire to play the game professionally then the next three year at the Australian Football College could prove to be the most important three year of their life.
